There once was a master who went to in those times, we didn"t have the communications or airplanes or many kinds of transportation that we do so the master went to india on he had never been to india before; perhaps he came from and when he got there, he saw a lot of in india they have plenty of fruit to sell, but much of it is expensive because they can"t grow much due to the water so he saw one basket, a big basket of some very red, long and it was the cheapest in the shop, not expensive at

So he went up and asked, “how much per kilo?” and the shopkeeper said, “two ” two rupees in india is nothing; it"s like so he bought a whole kilogram of the fruit and started eating but after he ate some of it: oh, my god! his eyes watered, his mouth watered and burned, his eyes were burning, his head was burning and his face became as he coughed and choked and gasped for breath, he jumped up and down, saying, “ah! ah! ah!”

But he still continued to eat the fruit! some people who were looking at him shook their heads and said, “you"re crazy, those are chilies! you can"t eat so many; they"re not good for you! people use them as a condiment, but only a little bit to put into food for you can"t just eat them by the handful like that; they"re not fruit!” so the stupid master said, “no, i can"t stop! i paid money for them, and now i"ll eat it"s my money!”

And you think that master was stupid, right? similarly, we sometimes do a lot of things like we invest money, time or effort in a relationship, business or and even though it"s been a long time, bitter experience tells us it won"t work, and we know there"s no more hope that things will change in the future - this we definitely know by intuition - we still continue just because we"ve invested money, time, effort and love into if so, we"re kaput in the just like the man who ate the chilies and suffered so much but couldn"t stop because he didn"t want to waste the money he"d

So even if you"ve lost something, let it go and move that"s better than continuing to

语音、的语调是否正确,口齿是否清楚;

流利程度;

语法是否正确,用词是否恰当,是否符合英语表达习惯;

语音、的语调是否正确,口齿是否清楚;

流利程度;

语法是否正确,用词是否恰当,是否符合英语表达习惯;

Save money

Have you ever saved money for something?

Do you save money now?

How do you save money?

Do you think saving money is very important?

Do you think parents should teach children to save money?

Do parents give children pocket money in China?

you should say: “ Yes, of i remember that i had saved my pocket money for ages, then i bought it last years ”

对于第二个问题是否喜欢攒钱,我们也完全可以说一些 (white lies) because you don’t have to tell the truth, 不必说“我从来不攒钱,because i am very very rich, ” 其实这一问的核心在于How?

其实理由很多甚至完全可以延伸到自己擅长的领域,比如擅长cooking的话题,可以说“i"d like to save money by cooking at home and eating food at home instead of eating ”

地图

Map

Do you often use map?

Who taught you how to use a map?

Do you prefer electronic maps or paper maps?

被考官问道“why do many people in China like to use another one?”对于这个话题可以说的点非常多,不要仅仅给出一个评价性的词汇“useful or convenient”,如电子地图的实时性“being updated all the time”和导航出最优路线“preferred route”。

dictionary

Do you ofen use a dictionary?

Do you prefer to use an electronic dictionary or a dictionary made of paper?

If someone gave you a dictionary as a gift, how would you feel?

Do you think it would be interesting to write a dictionary?

Do you think it would be interesting to be part of a team that is writing a dictionary?

What kind of person do you think writes a dictionary?

比如“when i come across a word that i can"t figure out,all i need to do is just click on the app,and type in the word i wish to look up…”

Sleep

How many hours a day do you sleep?

Do you often go to sleep quite late?

Did you often go to bed very late when you were a child?

Do you think sleeping is important?

Being bored

What will you do when you feel bored?

When you were young,What would you do if you felt bored?

What kinds of things are boring to you?

Do you think young people get bored easily?

可能是因为咱们大陆的考生之前太喜欢回答“i don"t like my subject,music,film,sport…because they are通通boring”,今年特意来了一个Being bored的话题给大家。

并且对于“what would you do if you felt bored”我们也可以尽量转化到自己擅长的领域来回答,比如“i find shopping very therapeutic”“when i am getting bored, there is nothing like karaoke therapy”,还有包括“i prefer to have a more relaxing time on the…”

明星

Celebrity

Who is your favourite celebrity in China?

Would you like to be a celebrity in the future?

In general, how do people become famous?

Do you think, to be famous, a person needs to have some special talent or ability?

Do you think we should protect famous people’s privacy?

比如明星经常被各种事吐槽being criticised all the time, 长得好看被骂整容cosmetic surgery, 衣冠不整being worst dressed 也会被抓拍。

手表

Watch

How often do you wear a watch?

What was your first watch like?

What kinds of watches do you like to wear?

Do people still wear watches in your country?

找一款能买的起的还好读的Apple watch, 而且功能多样it has various uses, it functions as a phone so you can make call and txt people。

最厉害的是还可以在健身房fitness suite里测身体耗能情况 “when i do cardio exercises, i can use it to keep track of how many calories i burn and how many steps i run”。

运动

Sports

Do you play any sport?

Do you like to watch sports on TV?

Do you have a favourite sports star?

What kinds of sports are popular in your country?

What kinds of sports would you like to try in the future?

Spare time

What do you usually do in your spare time?

Do you like to spend time with your family or friends?

What do you and your family like to do in free time?

Food/Foreign Food

Have you ever tried foreign food?

Do you like to try new food?

What kinds of new food have you tried recently?

What kinds of foreign food are popular in your country?

Do you think old people like foreign food? Why?

Spaghetti Bolognese

Spaghetti carbonara

Paella

简单举例,考官问“Are you working or studying?”好印象的回答必定长于“I"m studying/working。”。

“I"m studying, in a very beautiful school which is famous for its excellent ciriculum for accounting majors。”b。)“I"m a senior high of one of top 5 high schools in SH/BJ/GZ, but my heavy workload really puts me under quite much pressure。”或者 a。)“I work as a clerk in the largest private bank in my country。” b。)“I"m a secrectory for a large joint The company is really good, but my routine bords me somehow。”

一些常见的自然停顿:well, so, you know, it"s 。.

Usually, boys like to play war games with model guns, shouting at and killing their enemies。

.), linking phrases(on the other handfrom the above 。.), connectives (。.)。

It"ll do you good!

what happened exactly

and explain why it is a happy

Childhood memories are strange things, because sometimes you can’t quite be sure if you really remember something, or if you just think you do because others have told you about it, or you have seen a photo of the event later I’m going to talk to you about a memory that I’m very confident is I’ll tell you what it is, when it happened, how it affected me and why I still remember

The memory is the earliest one I have of me and my I was very small indeed, I’m not exactly sure how old, but I’d guess about three years old, maybe even My Dad was not a particularly tall or strong man, but I was small enough, and by comparison, he was big enough then, for me to stand with both my feet on one of his, and to reach up with my arms and cling onto his I would then hang on and laugh delightedly as he tried to go about his daily business, walking around the house with me gripping on tightly refusing to be It was a favourite

I don’t know that I can honestly say it affected me in my However, in my family, we don’t really talk about things very much or do a lot We don’t live particularly close to one another so see each other rather I suppose the way the incident affected me was by making me at a subconscious level feel close to my Dad even years later as we had shared that happy play time together when I was

I didn’t know I had held onto this memory until quite Sadly my Dad died, he had been very ill for a long time, so it wasn’t unexpected, but of course it was very I wanted to say something about him at his funeral, and I wanted to pick a memory that was personal just to him and to For some reason that image of me tiny and laughing and him solemnly ‘pretending’ that he hadn’t noticed I was there came into my mind and it seemed very appropriate somehow to share that It was a happy memory, but also an intimate I think he would have been really pleased that I could recall it so many decades

So why can I remember it? I’m not sure, but I like to think the memory was there dormant all the time just waiting for the moment when I needed to retrieve It is a comforting thing to The human mind is an amazing thing!

(Beg you pardon; Will you repeat that, please-, etc。) (What do you mean by that- etc。)

What can I call you?"

有个考生第二次考8分的时候被问到一个问题:“Are physical exercises popular in China?” 所以我立刻说:“because there is a National Physical Exercises Program in You can see there are a lot of physical exercise equipment in the communities, such as…” 我立刻说:“I can"t explain it very clearly, but…”就这一句话,我就给自己解围了,而且一个but,又可以停顿两秒钟,然后再说:“you can see there are many children and old people doing exercises in the morning and in the evening”。

这位考生第一次考8分的时候,在Part 3被问到:“Have you learned any other languages?”说:“Yes, I have learned some Russian ”于是顺口说了一句我背得烂熟的俄语长句。 于是立刻满脸笑容地补充道:“It means I want to invite you to ”那位姑娘立刻笑得前仰后合的。

表示比较对比的similarly, in contrast;

表示回应他人观点的I agree/disagree with this point;

表示举例的for example, a good case in point is that…

在这部分,非常重要的一个能力就是要能够详尽地论述你的观点(build on your point of view)。

Describe an old person you

You should say:

who this person is

how long you have known him/ her

what qualities he/ she has

and say why you admire him/

This is an easy topic for me as I know exactly who I want to tell you about! I’ll say who she is, how long I have known her, a bit about her special qualities and why I admire her so

I don’t think of this person as old, but I suppose she is because she will be 90 next year, and that’s certainly a good She is a distant cousin of mine, she now lives in a residential nursing home, which makes me sad, but she has had a full and interesting life and done many amazing, brave and brilliant

I think I have known her about twenty one years, but the story of how we came to be friends is a little I was about to go travelling to Australia, and was staying with my parents in London overnight before catching a plane from Heathrow the following Whilst I was there my parents told me about this distant cousin who had been in a road accident and was in a She was/is a very well educated woman with many academic and cultural interests, and they were wondering what to take her to read during her I offered some of my collection of short story I wasn’t sure they would be to her taste, they dealt with political issues and were not by any means what I would have expected an elderly sick relative to be interested The volumes were by Alice Walker, Susan Hill and other such

My cousin loved them! She wrote to me whilst I was in Australia to tell me, and also mentioned that she herself had worked in Australia for many She had a very illustrious career as a pediatric pathologist, but also did research on things like mammalian hearts which took her all over the She asked me to look up an old friend of hers whilst I was there, which I did with some reluctance as I wasn’t sure what I’d I met another amazing woman who lived in the middle of a beautiful rainforest and was passionate about When I came back to England a year later, I visited my cousin to tell her all about my travels, and that was the beginning of an ongoing We have always corresponded with one another and I find her wise and a great role We have shared interests and I think our personalities are also rather alike – for better or worse! Opinionated and stubborn at times, but also caring very much about the world and those around us and constantly curious and Endlessly wanting to go and explore and experience new We share a wanderlust at least!

My cousin is intelligent, well-travelled and very She has insight and great skill in academic Over the years I’ve shared with her my own writing efforts, looked to her for advice on what to do when facing certain decisions, and gained inspiration from her She is very good at setting herself goals and getting on with things – it would be fair to say she doesn’t suffer fools gladly, so she is certainly someone who will put you straight on I think of her as a ‘critical friend’ I know she cares about me a lot, as I do her, but that doesn’t mean she’ll indulge me at all if she feels I’m being foolish in any She never married, and I too am on my own, so I think we sort of understand one another, and we both like our own space, which can be confusing for some people at

I admire her hugely, her health is frail now, and that makes me sad, but she has achieved so much in her career, life and network of If I can do half as well in the time I have I’ll be very content with that!

(Beg you pardon; Will you repeat that, please?, etc。) (What do you mean by that? etc。)
