大多数人有着这样一个毛病，那就是说了许多空话，却总是行动不起来。这是一个十分可怕的毛病，它能让人失去信任，做不出任何成绩。这个毛病我曾经也有过，有一件事却使我永远地改掉了这个毛病。
记得在我十一、二岁的时候，为了应付一些来自老师和同学的要求，我养成了只答应不行动这样一个坏毛病，并且将它带到了学习和生活中，这给我惹来了不小的麻烦。有一次妈妈让我趁着周六日的空闲时间把她的一个很重要的文件打印出来，我就随口答应到行之后就没有把这件事往心里放。在周五晚上妈妈又提醒了我一遍，终究是只说话不行动成毛病啦，虽然这件事在提醒后，我也往心里放了一点，但是终究没有行动起来，在过周六日时，心里面还嘀咕：记得有一件很重要的事情，怎么就是想不起来了呀。就这样，一直到了周日晚上，我正在悠闲地看电视，妈妈走过来，笑着问我是否打完了那份文件。这时，我才想起这个文件我还一点都没动呢。又看了一下表，这才发现已经到了7：30，心想：这下子该怎么办呀，这个文件我还一点也没动呢，而现在也已经这么晚了，顿时我急得像热锅上的蚂蚁。妈妈看到我这样，就知道我没有完成，脸色马上晴转阴，重重地叹了一口气，又语重心长地对我说：我今天给你要，你没有完成，我们还有时间补，如果我周一给你要，你没有完成，就耽误了妈妈的大事。如果你是我的客户，你有耐心坐在那里等我几个小时打完文件再签单吗？这样妈妈损失的不仅仅是这一次的合作，而是永远失去了这位客户。诚信是金，既然答应了别人，就要行动起来，认真去完成。走吧，让我们一起去完成这份文件吧。
我们走进电脑房，妈妈忙着找资料，我手脑并用地打字，经过几个小时的苦战，我终于打完了这份文件。这时，我的手因长时间地打字而变得酸痛，双眼也因长时间地盯着屏幕而变得昏花了起来，我再次深深地意识到只说话不行动造成后果的严重性。从此再也不敢只说空话而不行动了。
一个人只说空话永远也起不了任何作用，只有行动才能够让自己的理想逐步实现。因此行动起来吧，为自己的理想和目标而奋斗，并且还要最终实现自己的理想，达到自己的目标。
